Tips To Support Your Health This Spring

SPRINGTIME HEALTH TIPS

Spring is in full bloom here in Texas! Learn how you can live a healthier season with our team at Gemini Urgent Care.

START WITH A HEALTHY BREAKFAST.

Daily routines can help keep you on track as we spend more time at home — and the best place to start is with your breakfast. Instead of an iced coffee, consider adding in some fruit, grains, and plenty of water.

GET OUTDOORS.

Springtime means it’s light out longer, and the weather is even warmer here in Texas! That means it’s the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time outside — whether you’re gardening, walking, or biking.

Getting enough sunlight and fresh air isn’t just good for your physical body, but your mental health as well. After many months indoors, be sure to take care of yourself by changing your setting and getting out at least once a day. Just remember to apply sunscreen and stay hydrated!

DRINK ENOUGH WATER DAILY.

On the note of staying hydrated in the warm spring sun, it’s important to drink plenty of water daily no matter the weather or activity. The recommended amount of water is about eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. If you’re exercising, you may find yourself wanting more — and that’s okay!

If you’re feeling under the weather this spring, it’s especially important to stay hydrated.

KEEP YOUR ALLERGIES AT BAY.

If you have seasonal allergies, make sure you keep track of the pollen count before heading out so you can bring sunglasses, a hat, and other protective gear to keep the pollen away from your face. Additionally, take your allergy medication regularly and speak to your doctor if you’re having trouble managing your symptoms.

VISIT YOUR DOCTOR FOR TREATMENT IF NEEDED.

From allergies to COVID-19 testing or a sprained ankle, don’t delay medical treatment if you need it this spring. Letting medical issues continue for too long can lead to a worse condition down the road.
