Bio

James Jackson, MD has been a practicing emergency room physician for 25 years. After graduation from Clear Lake High School, Jim received a Biochemistry degree from Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from UTMB in Galveston in 1992.

After serving as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UTMB, Jim practiced emergency medicine at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital for 10 years and then built Emergicare Freestanding ER in Clear Lake which operated from 2010 to 2021. He saw a need for more affordable medical care in the community, so he converted Emergicare into Gemini Urgent Care in the Summer of 2021.

Jim is passionate about patient care and medical education, but he is also an avid golfer and boater and enjoys cooking and travel.
